    Chhitij Anand, M.D.

    Associate Professor of Anatomy


    Dr. Chhitij Anand began his role as an Associate Professor of Anatomy at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences (Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ) in June 2024. He is a qualified physician with an M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree earned in 2007 from Katihar Medical College and Hospital, Katihar, India. He further specialized in Anatomy, receiving his M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) from Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College and Hospital, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, in 2014.

    Dr. Anand has over a decade of experience teaching Anatomy, demonstrating significant contributions to medical education. Before joining Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, he spent more than four years as an Associate Professor at the Medical University of the Americas (MUA) in Nevis. His teaching practices are enriched by his extensive exposure to USMLE-oriented instruction, incorporating diverse pedagogical approaches such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Team-Based Learning (TBL), and Case-Based Learning (CBL).

    A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Dr. Anand consistently engages in professional development through workshops and seminars to keep pace with the evolving field of medical education. His research endeavors are reflected in numerous publications in international journals. Notably, he received the Photon Foundation's Prestigious Kary Mullis Research Award in 2015 for outstanding contributions to Anatomy.
