Rolling Admissions
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà accepts applicants in three annual enrollment terms: January, May, and September
COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà thoroughly evaluates all candidates. No single factor determines an admissions decision.
Admissions Criteria
At Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, we evaluate the whole student. All applicants who demonstrate the potential to succeed in the University’s rigorous academic program receive serious consideration. When assessing individual candidates, we carefully review several factors including, but not limited to:
- academic performance
- credit load
- work experience
- volunteer experience
- research experience
- letters of recommendation
- personal essay
After a preliminary evaluation, candidates who meet our basic requirements are offered a personal interview with an admissions officer. During this time, we’ll discuss the candidate’s academic background and their interest in medicine while evaluating their maturity, aptitude, and motivation, and weighing other variables from the application.

Sign up todayAcademic Performance
We seek to determine if each applicant has the intellectual capability to handle a challenging medical school curriculum. We are specifically interested in the pattern of the candidate’s academic development and look for identifiable performance trends.
Test Taking Ability
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà requires all U.S. citizens and permanent residents to submit Medical College Aptitude Test (MCAT*) scores as part of the application. While the MCAT is not required of non-U.S. citizens, it is recommended for all applicants, including Canadian citizens or residents.
Transfer applicants who have not taken the USMLE Step 1 are also required to submit MCAT scores so that we may assess the student’s academic background relative to placement in our program.
*The MCAT must be taken within 3 years of the student's application
Motivation
Personal motivation is one of the most important qualities for a future doctor. We seek students who have demonstrated the ability to adapt, study hard, integrate various modes of instruction, and retain useful knowledge required for promotion. To assess motivation, we focus on an applicant’s personal essay, letters of recommendation, and personal interview.
