The Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà facilities in Portland, Maine feature:
The fifth semester consists of two required courses: Introduction to Clinical Medicine II and Biological Basis of Clinical Medicine. The last six weeks of the semester includes a live USMLE review course through Kaplan Medical. Once students complete the 5th semester they are prepared to sit and pass USMLE Step 1 and seamlessly transition into the clinical program.
All student clinical experiences are led by a team of experienced Maine-based physicians, many of whom have decades of medical practice and teaching experience. Students are assigned to work with physicians in actual patient-care settings at hospitals, clinics, and office health centers in and around Portland. The opportunity to work beside renowned Maine physicians is designed to build student clinical capabilities, increase student confidence, and enhance student performance on the USMLE

Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà operates on a trimester schedule, with classes beginning in September, January, and May. Each semester lasts approximately 15 weeks. Students can complete the Basic Science and Clinical Science Programs (10 semesters) in roughly four years and Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà graduates regularly earn top residency placements.
