Graduation requirements

The following requirements must be met for a student to graduate from Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ:

• Complete all required Basic Science courses.
• Complete all required clinical clerkships.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Submit all final and original administrative documents to the Office of the Registrar.
• Submit passing scores on the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK.
• Submit either a passing Step 2 CS result or, after March 2020, an approved Pathway 3 certification from ECFMG.
• Apply for graduation through the  by the deadlines listed in the Graduation memo.
• Pay the $500.00 graduation fee when submitting the Graduation Application (This one-time fee is required of all students and is not contingent on attending the commencement ceremony).
• Satisfy all outstanding balances owed to the University.

Formal commencement exercises are held annually in New York City, typically at the beginning of June.  Diplomas will not be released unless all outstanding balances, administrative documents, clinical evaluations, and USMLE Step 1 and 2 CK & 2 CS and Pathway 3 Approval from ECFMG.   The Office of the Registrar must also clear a final degree audit.
