    Ruth FitzGerald, Ph.D.

    Director of Counseling Services


    Ruth is from Ireland and completed her studies at Kingston University, UK.  She joined Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà in November 2021 as Director of Counseling Services.

    Prior to joining Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà she worked as Director of the Centre for Therapeutic & Reflective Writing in Ireland where she trained Counselors in Therapeutic Writing.

    Ruth has a deep interest in Cross Cultural Psychology and has worked with international students throughout her career.

    Her previous posts include Head of Wellbeing & Counseling at Aiglon College, Switzerland; Assistant Professor Education Enhancement & Counselor at American University of Antigua School of Medicine and Director of The Coaching Psychology Unit at Bahrain Polytechnic University.

    Her interest in Cross Cultural Psychology led her to conducting a long-term research project on Culturally Sensitive Counseling in Education. Ruth also has an interest in Humanistic, Jungian, Evolutionary and Existential Psychology.
