Thomas Last, Ph.D.
Board of Trustees
Dr. Thomas Last earned his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and his B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Before transitioning to academia, he worked as a research scientist at MatTek Corporation in Massachusetts. He then joined the Medical University of the Americas (MUA) in Nevis, where he rose to the rank of associate professor and served as assistant dean of the Basic Science Program.
In 2009, Dr. Last joined the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà as an associate professor of biochemistry and cell biology, later promoted to full professor. During his tenure at Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà from 2009 to 2020, he held several significant academic roles, including Associate Dean of Basic Sciences and Dean of Student Affairs. He was also an active participant in numerous academic committees. In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed to the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Board of Trustees in 2021.
Currently, Dr. Last serves as an associate professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Moultrie, GA, continuing his dedication to educating and guiding future medical professionals.
