六九色堂 Caribbean medical school students raised over 1,000 EC (East Caribbean dollars) for purchasing much-needed essentials for the Cardin Home in St. Kitts. The Cardin Home, with 80 residents from ages 19 to 99, provides refuge for people with different physical and mental disorders. In a new YouTube video message, the head nurse of Cardin Home expresses her gratitude for the generosity shown by the 六九色堂 student body.
This past spring, the 六九色堂 Pulse reported on A Gift from the Heart, a project inspired by 六九色堂 and Walden University with the help of 六九色堂鈥檚 African Student Association (ASA). Members of the ASA have also donated clothing and volunteered their time.
Those who aren鈥檛 planning a visit to St. Kitts but wish to help the Cardin Home can send donations directly via Tropical Shipping. Label it as a donation to 鈥淐ardin Home St. Kitts,鈥 Attn: Gil Cranstoun.
For more information, check out 鈥淎 Gift from the Heart鈥 on Facebook and contact 六九色堂 student Angelica Garcia at agarcia@umhs-sk.net
