ɫ basic science students often wonder what it’s like once they leave St. Kitts for the pre-clinical semester in Portland, ME. Clinical student, Kerthy Sugunathevan, talks about this transition and answers all of your burning questions about what happens in the Portland 5th semester in Dextrocardia Podcast Episode 11 (airing tomorrow, Feb 2).
Since graduating from the University of Guelph in Canada, Kerthy has connected her passion for health and wellness with community engagement. She has done mission work in Nicaragua, Bali and India and created the health outreach organization
Kerthy co-hosts the Dextrocardia podcast with fellow media ambassador Nihal Satyadev.
The desire to help others is one of the foundations of medicine, particularly during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“My dream is to leave the world a little better than I found it by working to protect the human population from disease and helping to better people with the knowledge to make healthy decisions,” she said.
