Epidemiology—the study of public health and emerging infectious diseases—has become a crucial area of medicine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical student and Epidemiology TA Caroline Perocier Vargas goes through tips and tricks to succeed in this important course and more in Dextrocardia Podcast Episode 14.
Caroline is from Puerto Rico, and is currently studying at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts. She is an Epidemiology TA and Power Up Leader. Caroline obtained her Biomedical B.A from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla. During her free time she is a volunteer at the nonprofit Life Link. She also likes to spend her time listening music, reading books and spending time with her family and friends.
