Find out how to get the most out of your clinical rotations. Dextrocardia Episode 13 features recent Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà grad, Dr. Divya Krishnan, as she talks about her medical school experience pursuing extensive extracurricular activities and clinical electives abroad.

Divya grew up in Vancouver, BC, Canada and moved to St. Kitts at the age of 20 to pursue medicine after completing an Associate of Science degree at Douglas College. She has been an active voice for students throughout Basic Sciences as a volunteer, secretary, then president of the Student Government Association as well as clinical rotations as an active administrator in the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Clinical Students private Facebook group.

Prior to medical school, she was engaged in several extracurricular activities supporting her schools and the local community. She continues to be involved in community outreach opportunities wherever she goes as well as ways to supplement her medical education. She enjoys meeting new people, singing Indian classical music, traveling and exploring new cultures as well as hiking, creating abstract art, biking long distance, and playing volleyball.

Dextrocardia features interviews with fellow medical students, medical school faculty, and medical practitioners on everything from how to succeed in medical school, to fighting racial inequality in medicine and how medical students are working in the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement.

Episodes are released every other Tuesday. Dextrocardia is available on Apple Podcast, Spotify and Podbean.
