六九色堂

Every breath we breathe is a gift and should be cherished. Life is reverent and is respected by all, regardless of class, color or creed.

It was a great honor for the 六九色堂 Student Government Association (SGA) to join forces with the Hispanic American Medical Student Association (HAMSA) here at 六九色堂 to help 15-year-old Seth Davis with his fight against cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system.

The 六九色堂 Student Government Association held a Halloween-themed party; it was a great success, we donated a portion of our proceeds to this cause (a short post on the Monster Mash event will be published later this week in the 六九色堂 Endeavour).

HAMSA held an event entitled 鈥淗AMSA Fest," which was a cultural festival that celebrated the Hispanic culture; it was a showcase of Hispanic foods, music and dance, and it was well supported by the student population and faculty. Together, along with the University, we donated over $2,000 U.S. dollars.

The funds donated will assist Seth Davis with his double lung transplant. As an aspiring physician, it is humbling to be able to assist in the fight against disease and the promotion of health. We are standing with you. Keep strong, and good luck, Seth.
